Before starting scanning it is important to calibrate the InfraRed sensors.
Remove any film from the filmtrip holder, insert the holder in the
FS4000 and click Calibrate. The application will now calibrate the scanner
in 500/1000/2000/4000 DPI mode.This needs to be done only once, during first
use of the software. Calibration data is saved and will be OK for a long time.
During Calibration, the WDS-S application will create InfraRed
profiles which are used during scratch and
dust detection in WDS-IP.
